The perfect bags for bulk bin shopping are here! Our Bulk Bin Bags are a great way to easily shop for your favorite grains, nuts, and dried goods, without the unnecessary plastic packaging, not to mention they’re measured & labeled to help you pour the exact amount, every time. We took extra care to have the weights and volumes available in multiple units, making filling and checkout easy wherever you are. Weights are listed in pounds, ounces, and grams, with volumes listed in cups, pints, and liters. The tapered design of the bags helps keep them standing upright, so they don’t fall over and spill out at the checkout conveyor belt or on your home countertop. With the added security of internal flaps to cover the bag opening and double drawstring closure, these bags are practically spill-proof! Plus, the additional flaps make filling easy, giving you extra fabric to hold onto while scooping from bins or pulling from gravity-fed dispensers.

The Bulk Bin Bags are available in 3 sizes, with the following weights & volumes:

  • Small - Dimensions: 7 in tall x 6 - 6.5 in wide, Weight: 0.03 lbs / 0.5 oz / 16 gm, Volume: 2 cup / 1 pint / 0.5 L

  • Medium - Dimensions: 9 in tall x 6.5 - 8.25 in wide, Weight: 0.05 lbs / 0.8 oz / 66 gm, Volume: 4 cup / 2 pint / 1 L

  • Large - 10.5 in tall x 7 - 9.5 in wide, Weight: 0.06 lbs / 1 oz / 28 gm, Volume: 8 cup / 4 pint / 2 L

Made of organic cotton muslin fabric, GOTS certified for both ECOLOGY and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY for the entire production process, including growing, harvesting, spinning yarn, weaving/knitting fabric, and sewing bags.  Since they're made of unprocessed cotton, they bring additional benefits to our health and environment by avoiding highly toxic pesticides, fertilizers, bleaches, and dyes used in regular cotton crops. Designed, packaged, and shipped in the United States, cotton grown and bags manufactured in India.

HOW TO FILL

Start by selecting the best bag for filling, based on how much grain you’ll need. With a washable marker, grease pencil, or fabric marker, write down the PLU# of the grain on the bag. Open up the bag and pull out the security flaps. For gravity-fed bins, place the opening of the bag around the nozzle, pull the lever, and fill to your desired amount. For conventional scoop bins, hold the bag open with one hand, and with the other scoop in the desired amount of grain. Once filled, place the security flaps back inside, laying them overlapping one another on top of the grains, and pull the drawstrings closed. For extra security, tie the drawstrings together in a knot or bow.

Once at home, untie the drawstrings and open the bag. Remove the security flaps, and roll back the opening of the bag once or twice for a clean exit route. Pick out the storage vessel of choice, making sure that it can hold the amount of grain you purchased. With one hand on the opening of the bag and the other at the base, gently pour the grains into your vessel, using the stitching as a guide for easy pouring. For extra help decanting, use a wide-mouthed funnel to get all the grains in their intended vessels. Gently shake the bag to get every last grain out, then close up your vessel and put away for storage. Flip the bag inside out, and either hand or machine wash, then flat or line dry.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Muslin fabric is very durable and easy to care for.  Just hand or machine wash them in COLD water and flat or line dry. To protect the printing, we recommend flipping the bags inside out prior to washing. The fabric is prewashed, so shrinkage is minimal.
